About The Prophecy Tribune

The Prophecy Tribune is a weekly publication dedicated to the serious study of biblical prophecy—through Scripture, history, language, geography, and the events shaping our world.

Bible prophecy deserves more than sensational headlines, recycled predictions, and speculation presented as certainty. It deserves careful investigation. At The Prophecy Tribune, we go back to the text. We examine the prophetic books of Daniel, Revelation, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Zechariah and the rest of Scripture in their biblical and historical context. Where it matters, we dig into the original Hebrew and Greek, examine the kingdoms and peoples known to the biblical writers, trace geographical clues, compare Scripture with Scripture, and consider how earlier generations understood difficult prophetic passages. We also ask questions about the world unfolding around us .Could prophetic patterns established in the ancient world have an end-time fulfillment or recapitulation? How should we understand Persia, Greece, Israel, the nations, the Antichrist, the Temple, the Great Tribulation and the return of Jesus Christ? And when modern events appear to resemble biblical patterns, what can we responsibly conclude—and what remains speculation? Those distinctions matter. The Prophecy Tribune does not claim new revelation. We are searching the revelation God has already given us .Sometimes the biblical and historical evidence may support a strong conclusion. At other times, we will present possibilities, competing interpretations and hypotheses. When something is a hypothesis, we will tell you it is a hypothesis. Our purpose is not to manufacture certainty where Scripture leaves questions unanswered.

Searching for Hidden Treasure

Proverbs tells us to seek wisdom “as silver” and search for understanding “as for hid treasures.” That captures the spirit of this publication. Bible prophecy requires work.

Words matter.

Context matters.

History matters.

Geography matters.

The identity and succession of ancient kingdoms matter.

And sometimes a detail that appears insignificant in one passage becomes much more important when compared carefully with another
That is the kind of investigation The Prophecy Tribune exists to pursue.

Prophecy and Current Events

We will not ignore current events. Wars, alliances, political upheavals, developments involving Israel and the Middle East, changing world powers and other major events may raise legitimate prophetic questions.But a resemblance is not automatically a fulfillment.Our approach is to begin with Scripture and examine current events in its light—not begin with today's headline and force Scripture to fit it.That means asking difficult questions while maintaining enough humility to say we don't know when the evidence does not justify certainty.

A Weekly Investigation

Each week, The Prophecy Tribune will explore a significant question involving biblical prophecy, biblical history, prophetic interpretation or contemporary events with potential prophetic significance.Some investigations will challenge popular assumptions. Others will revisit passages that have been debated for centuries. Still others will explore possibilities that deserve consideration while carefully distinguishing those possibilities from what Scripture explicitly states.

Agreement is not required. Careful examination is. As the Bereans were commended for searching the Scriptures to determine whether the things they were hearing were true, readers of The Prophecy Tribune are encouraged to open their Bibles, examine the evidence and reach their own conclusions.

We will search.

We will question.

We will compare Scripture with Scripture.

And we will keep digging.
