For nearly a decade, California has betrayed its citizens. Over the last 5 years, $24 billion allocated to fight homelessness seems to have vanished into the hands of corrupt officials, leaving the state’s most vulnerable to suffer. Los Angeles alone received $975 million in 2023-2024—yet the crisis has worsened. Governor Gavin Newsom and Mayor Karen Bass have utterly failed. The corruption is blatant.
Meanwhile, California faces another harsh reality—wildfires ravaging Los Angeles and surrounding areas. Could these fires symbolize God’s judgment on a state embracing greed, corruption, and moral decay? The fires serve as a painful reminder of neglecting the poor and rejecting righteousness.
God’s Judgment on Those Who Oppress the Poor
Scripture is clear: “Whoever oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker” (Proverbs 14:31). Yet California’s leaders have hoarded billions while thousands suffer. Celebrities and elites have grown their fortunes, while the streets of LA overflow with despair.
This isn’t just human failure—it’s spiritual rebellion. Galatians 6:7 warns, “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.” California’s leaders and elites have sown greed and corruption, and now they’re reaping the whirlwind—not just in the homelessness crisis but in the fires destroying homes and lives.
The Hypocrisy of Hollywood
While California’s working class struggles, Hollywood elites live in excess. Now, many face devastation as fires destroy their mansions. For decades, Hollywood has promoted sin and perversion through films glorifying violence and immorality, fueling society’s moral decay. Romans 2:6 declares, “God will repay each person according to what they have done.” The fires are just the beginning.
There is still hope. Hollywood can turn away from sin, produce wholesome content, and embrace moral values. But repentance must come now, before it’s too late.
God’s Warning to California
California’s moral decline, homelessness crisis, and wildfires are signs of a state on the brink. If leaders and citizens don’t repent, greater judgment will follow. Governor Newsom, Mayor Bass, and corrupt officials must face justice for the billions wasted.
A federal investigation is needed. The FBI and DOJ under @realDonaldTrump must uncover the truth and hold these leaders accountable. Public funds must heal the state, not line pockets.
Jesus offers redemption, but time is running out. Turn to Jesus before it’s too late. John 5:14 warns, “Stop sinning, or something worse may happen to you.”
